VICTORIA BECKHAM FRIDAY

Today is the last fashion show for my little fashion compilation week and it has been so much fun to dig a little deeper in what the meanings and messages is behind the shows. And what goes on behind the scenes and who the people creating it are. Hope maybe we can do this again next time.

Victoria Beckham Fall 2024 collection, was definitely one of Beckhams most experimental shows to date but I could still clearly see it was her brand, still keeping this elegant (posh) vibe with the high tailored trousers, quality knitwear and flowy ballerina-like dresses. When I was doing research for this post many wrote that the brand hadn’t really found its core identity, but the last two collection I feel like it has fallen into place.

Victoria used a painting by a Julian Schnabel from the Sonanbul series, which has graced Victoria Beckham’s home for decades, as an inspiration for this collection. You could see this collection is especially close to her heart and almost the whole Beckham family was gathered there to support her.

The music starts and in walks a model in this black deconstructed blazer, sat in front and revealing the models back, which we saw multiple variants of throughout the show. Very cool concept, probably not so easy to manage in a day-to-day setting, but it looks very chic and innovative. Other pieces still had some clear reference to her Spring/Summer collection that was very inspired by her days as a ballet dancer. We saw these beutiful ballerina-length ball gowns with plunging necklines and voluminous skirts in a deep dark blue and simple white. Some pieces even included a hangers incorporated in the construction of garment.

Thank you for staying to the end, hope you enjoy it and will come back to read my next blog post. Go in and follow on my TikTok to know when I post.

PS. If you haven’t watched the whole show yet, then you can watch it on Victora Beckhams website and on Victoria’s own YouTube channel.
